My son Carl inspired me to begin this. I find his blog - carlitusmaximus.blogger.com - inspiring and hilarious. Mine may not be - but is at least - a start for me. I may not be consistent, but I will be myself and it will be a journey.

The death of my father is a definite and profound marker for everyone in my family.

And - I must say - I am so proud of every single member - husband, wife, aunt, uncle, sister, son, daughter, brotherinlaw, sisterinlaw, cousin, grandson, granddaughter, niece or nephew - of my family for our deep and sincere - and it seems almost genetic - commitment to our own eccentric and deeply personal means of expression - not only in truly personal ways but also in the most profoundly meaningful ways possible to each. I am immensely proud to be a member of this family. And I deeply love each and every one of you.
